"I was sick frequently with vague symptoms. I was always tired, overweight and depressed. My MD had recommended I see Dr. Kowata as I was not getting any better. During my initial visit with Dr Kowata, I watched her pour through my old records. She asked me so many questions about my health and habits. I had some old lab and medical records thankfully, and she found some abnormal thyroid antibody tests from four year earlier indicating an autoimmune condition. She addressed all areas of my life looking for things that could be making me sick and eliminating some things that were not helping me get better. "I have been a patient of Dr. Kowata since 2019. I initially saw her for chronic digestive and hormonal issues that started in 2018. I had been post menopausal for three years at that point. I was so frustrated and scared and had always had excellent health up until that time.
